Online counselling
It doesn't matter where you are in Spain. If getting to Mojácar in person isn't possible right now, Jeanna is very happy to work with you online — and has years of experience doing exactly that.
Distance shouldn't be the reason you don't get support
Spain is a big country. Whether you're in Málaga, Valencia, Madrid, the Canary Islands, or a small village three hours from anywhere — geography doesn't have to be a barrier to good counselling.
Jeanna has worked with clients online since long before it became the norm, and what she's found is simple: the quality of the therapeutic relationship isn't diminished by a screen. What matters is the honesty in the room — and a good internet connection.
How it works
Sessions take place over Doxy.me, a secure video platform built specifically for healthcare and therapy — not a general video-calling app. There's nothing to download and no account to create. Jeanna sends you a link before the session, you click it in your browser, and you're in the room. If you've had a frustrating experience with other video call software before, this is intentionally simpler.
- 1 Get in touch
Drop Jeanna a message via the contact form or WhatsApp. Let her know you're looking for online sessions and a little about what's going on.
- 2 Book a time
Jeanna will reply within 24 hours to arrange a convenient time. Sessions are typically 50 minutes.
- 3 You receive a video link
Jeanna sends a link before the session. Click it on your computer, tablet or phone — whichever is easiest. Nothing to install, no account to set up. If anything's unfamiliar, Jeanna will walk you through it ahead of time so you're not figuring it out when the session starts.
- 4 Start where you are
That's it. A quiet space, a device, and the willingness to show up — that's all you need.
Is online counselling as effective as in-person?
Research consistently shows that online counselling is just as effective as face-to-face for most presenting issues — including anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, and relationship difficulties. Many clients find that working from their own home actually makes it easier to open up.
For clients who can travel to Mojácar, a mix of in-person and online sessions is also possible — some people prefer to come in occasionally and meet by video call in between.
What Jeanna works with online
A note on privacy: All sessions are confidential. Video links are unique to each session and expire once the call ends. Jeanna recommends finding a private space where you feel comfortable speaking freely — headphones can help if you're sharing a home.
