Sometimes it's easier to talk when you're moving

Not all sessions happen in a room. Some happen on the promenade, on the beach, or along the coast path.

Walking changes how the brain processes information. Different light, different stimuli, the rhythm of movement itself. For some people, it unlocks things that sitting opposite a therapist never does — not because the therapist is doing anything differently, but because the body is.

Who walking sessions suit

People who find therapy rooms intimidating

Side-by-side is a different conversation to face-to-face. Less formal. Less charged. Sometimes that matters.

Men

This is worth naming directly. Sitting across a desk isn't always the right setup. A walk along the seafront removes some of the theatre that can get in the way of a real conversation.

Clients combining movement with mental health

Physical activity supports mental health — that's not new information. Walking sessions integrate both rather than treating them as separate things.

People who think better moving

If your best thinking happens on a walk, there's no reason your counselling sessions should happen sitting still.

How it works

Same session length as standard sessions. Same confidentiality. Same quality of work. Different setting.

Sessions take place in the Mojácar, Garrucha, and Vera Beach area. The Almería region's climate makes outdoor sessions viable for most of the year — which is one of the advantages of doing this work here rather than in the UK.

If you're unsure whether walking sessions are right for you, mention it when you get in touch. It can always be a conversation before a commitment.
