Privacy Policy
Who we are
This website is operated by Jeanna Park Counselling & Psychotherapy, a sole practitioner based in Mojácar, Almería, Spain. Jeanna Park is the data controller for personal information collected through this website.
If you have any questions about how your data is handled, or wish to exercise any of your rights, contact Jeanna directly via the contact form.
What data we collect and why
Contact form submissions
When you use the contact form on this site, we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, phone number (if given), and the message you write. This data is used solely to respond to your enquiry. It is processed on the basis of legitimate interest — specifically, your interest in receiving a response and our interest in being able to provide one.
Form submissions are handled by Netlify (a US-based hosting and form processing service). Netlify stores submitted form data on its servers. You can read Netlify's privacy policy here.
No analytics or tracking
This website does not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any other behavioural tracking or advertising technology. We do not profile visitors.
No cookies beyond the essential
This site uses only essential technical cookies — cookies required for the site to function. It does not use any advertising, analytics, or preference cookies. See our Cookie Policy for full details.
How long we keep your data
Contact form enquiries are retained only as long as necessary to respond to and follow up on your enquiry, and no longer than 12 months unless an ongoing therapeutic or coaching relationship begins, in which case data retention follows standard professional practice requirements.
Who we share your data with
We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. The only third-party processors involved are:
- Netlify — website hosting and contact form processing
- Sanity — content management (blog posts only; no personal data stored here)
Both are used solely for the operation of this website.
Your rights under UK and EU GDPR
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict processing of your data
- Data portability (receive your data in a machine-readable format)
- Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent)
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
To exercise any of these rights, contact Jeanna via the contact page. We will respond within 30 days.
